Surprising statistic

In combing through the season statistics for 2008, I came across a stat that really surprised me. In the four games that Buffalo had an individual 100-yard rusher, the Bills were 0-4 this season.

Those games being the season finale against the Patriots, the second game against the Jets, San Fran and Cleveland.

Marshawn Lynch had three of those 100-yard rushing games with Fred Jackson accounting for the last one in the season ender.

Usually when you have a 100-yard rusher your winning percentage in those games is well over 60%, but that obviously did not happen.

Unfortunately it was a season that defied the odds. Heck since 1990, 84.9% of teams that started a season 4-0 made the playoffs and the Bills wound up being part of that 16.1% so go figure.
