Maybin to rub elbows in Rochester Monday night

Aaron Maybin will be a VIP guest at the 60th Annual Day of Champions Dinner tonight in Rochester. And he’ll be rubbing elbows with a professional athlete he watched growing up in Baltimore.  Maybin will be sitting at the head table for the event along with featured guest Cal Ripken, Jr.  I’ll try to ask him how things [...]

Edwards on TD throw to T.O.

Trent Edwards was asked about his 60-yard bomb for a TD to Terrell Owens during the first OTA practice session. Edwards offered the following. “It was a pump route,” said Edwards. ”We had run a route, which is just a deep route the play before and I had missed my read and I wanted to do [...]

T.O. doesn’t mind leading if it’s called for

Terrell Owens was asked if he sees himself in a leadership role with the Bills. Knowing there are some proud leaders on the roster already, Owens wisely chose his words carefully, while also trying to clear up a common misconception about himself. “I can do that,” said Owens of being a leader. ”And it can be [...]

Evans and Stroud on radio Tuesday

Lee Evans is scheduled to be on with Norton in the Morning on 97 Rock Tuesday at about 8:40am. Marcus Stroud will be on the FAN 590 in Toronto at 8:20am. If you’re out of the listening area you can pull those stations up online to listen.

Edwards does not have groin injury

After throwing out the first pitch and taking batting practice at the Blue Jays game in Toronto last week, Trent Edwards had mentioned he had “some groin issues” after taking his swings marveling at how baseball players put all that torque on their midsection. Fans worried that Edwards was legitimately injured, but Edwards cleared that [...]

Whitner expecting charges to be dropped

Donte Whitner has a court date in Cleveland tomorrow where he’s expecting to be exonerated of the charges he faces in connection with an altercation at the House of Blues in Cleveland. “I actually have a court date tomorrow and hopefully everything gets dropped tomorrow,” said Whitner Monday after Buffalo’s first OTA practice. “That’s what [...]

Rhodes, McIntyre not in attendance

Not in attendance at the first day of OTAs were only four players on the entire roster were not in attendance. The rookies who must miss due to their final exam schedule, Jairus Byrd and undrafted kicker Danny Urrego as well as veterans Dominic Rhodes and Corey McIntyre. No word on the reason for the [...]

Owens appreciates fans’ welcome

For those that didn’t hear about it, Terrell Owens practically got a hero’s welcome at the Buffalo airport last night when he arrived on a delayed flight around midnight. A horde of Bills fans were on hand decked out in Owens’ gear. Fans chanting T.O., the Jills were there too. After his first OTA practice [...]

Schobel participating

Aaron Schobel is participating in practice, which is a good sign coming off the injury. The current work is walk thru speed, so gauging the extent of his participation is difficult at this time.

Owens present

As expected Terrell Owens is present for the first day of OTAs practicing with his teammates.we’ll have updates later today.

T.O. show has arrived

Suffice to say with Terrell Owens in for Bills OTAs today, the media contingent is considerably larger than usual. Normally for OTAs there are usually no more than 10 to 12 media members. Today there are already that many and it’s a half-hour before the practice session begins. A couple of national outfits are here [...]

Fan Friday 5-15

Jumping right in with another batch of your questions with OTAs set to start on Monday. Let’s get going. 1. Hi Chris,   Hope all is well.  Two questions:   1. I thought Left Guard was an important position on the line or more important than Right Guard.  When we went out and signed Dockery [...]

Owens expected to be in for OTAs next week

With the Bills voluntary OTAs opening up on Monday, there’s a strong likelihood Terrell Owens will be on hand from the start of the three day session. At least according to him. Owens said on his Twitter account that he’ll be in town next week for OTAs. Buffalobills.com will have full coverage of all the [...]

Wendling number change

Buffalobills.com has learned that Bills safety John Wendling will be changing his number after veteran free agent signee expressed an interest in wearing number 29, which he wore back when he played some of his best ball with the Chargers. Wendling agreed to give Florence number 29, which he wore for his first two seasons [...]

Tinoisamoa arrived this morning

I know I promised I’d post the info here, so yes, Pisa Tinoisamoa was at One Bills Drive this morning. I’ve got more on the home page though. He’s getting his physical this afternoon, which is protocol on all free agent visits. I doubt however, that he’ll be made available for comment in light of that [...]

Jackson just another Bills player excited about T.O. addition

In the time Fred Jackson took to talk to the media Wednesday about his new contract with the Bills he also was asked about his thoughts on the addition of Terrell Owens. Naturally the guy was happy knowing how much Owens’ presence will help the run game. “Nobody is happier than I am about T.O. [...]

Joe D. and buddies finish 2,000 mile bike run

Well they did it. Joe DeLamielleure and his two college teammates John Shinsky and Eljay Bowron  completed their 2,000-mile bike trek from Michigan State to Matamoros, Mexico to benefit the City of Children Orphanage. A heck of an accomplishment for three 50-somethings. Joe was keeping a running log of the trip. Here are his accounts [...]

What they had said about Nelson

I thought it’d be interesting to go back and look at some of the comments that the draft experts had made about Shawn Nelson prior to the draft. What guys like Mike Mayock and Mel Kiper said pretty much cements the fact that Nelson was a steal in round four. See below. “The guy that [...]

LB Tinoisamoa familiar to Bills’ staff

Former Rams LB Pisa Tinoisamoa, who will reportedly make a visit to One Bills Drive in the near future, would not be a surprising free agent target of the Bills. He matches the body type that Dick Jauron prefers for his linebackers, which is lighter and faster. And there’s one other thing. Bills defensive coordinator [...]

Edwards and Evans to take batting practice with Blue Jays

Trent Edwards and Lee Evans will be taking batting practice with the Toronto Blue Jays and throw out the first pitch on Thursday (May 14) for the game against the Yankees. Edwards and Evans might already be feeling a bit of pressure as Arizona QB Matt Leinart hit two balls over the fence when he [...]
