My NFL Combine conversation with Jamon Meredith

Buffalo’s newest offensive lineman Jamon Meredith was a draft prospect I had the opportunity to interview during the NFL Combine back in February. Here’s my Q&A with Buffalo’s newest offensive tackle. I’m calling him that since as you’ll see below it’s the position he prefers to play. CB: Your senior year was a bit up [...]

Meredith jersey number

Jamon Meredith will be wearing jersey number 69 for those of you keeping score at home. Meredith wore #77 in college but that number is taken. It belongs to Demetrius Bell.

Meredith a good young pickup

Jamon Meredith was a good value pick for the Packers this past spring in the fifth round. I interviewed Meredith at the NFL Combine back in February to ask him about his position switch. He had played two years at left and right tackle, but then his senior year moved inside to guard. He admitted [...]

Some more national praise for Edwards

SI’s Peter King, who was at the Bills opener in New England had some praise for QB Trent Edwards in one of his columns this week. As he tackles the prevalence of young signal callers currently starting in the league, King makes note of Edwards. I count six passers 25 or younger — Ryan, Flacco, [...]

Why what I saw Monday night that worries me for Sunday

So heading into Sunday’s game with the New Orleans Saints there’s been some talk amongst me and my co-workers that perhaps slowing down the pace of Buffalo’s no huddle could help to swing time of possession in favor of the Bills and keep the ball out of Drew Brees’ hands and hopefully keep the Saints [...]

Trent’s production

Just an interesting note to pass along regarding Trent’s offensive production. Though it’s only been two games Trent has 4 passing TD’s in the first 2 weeks.  The last time a Bills starting QB had that many in the first 2 weeks was Drew Bledsoe in 2002.  The last time any Bills starting QB had [...]

Parrish trade rumors swirling again

The trade rumors just will not go away concerning Roscoe Parrish. According to ProFootballTalk, Parrish is again rumored to be on the trade block. They’ve listed the Chiefs, Jaguars and Redskins as possible destinations and speculate the ultra-dangerous return man would net the Bills a late round pick in return. Take it for what it’s [...]

The false starts hurt us and stopped [...]

TE possibilities

If ESPN’s Adam Schefter is on the money with his report over the weekend then these are distinct possibilities for Buffalo’s TE corps if the injury to Derek Schouman is a serious one. Shawn Nelson already tweeted that his shoulder is fine Sunday night, but Adam Schefter tweeted the following over the weekend. Adam_Schefter: Buffalo [...]
