Why Owens watched

Terrell Owens was a spectator at practice on Friday. Head coach Dick Jauron explained why. Jauron said Owens sat out practice Friday “for rest.” This is the second straight week Owens has watched a Friday practice to rest.

By all indications Houston WR Andre Johnson will start on Sunday against the Bills. Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said barring any setbacks Johnson is “ready to go” for Sunday. Bills WR Terrell Owens is watching practice here on Friday. Owens was given the day off last Friday as well as his non-participation was termed “non-injury related” by head coach Dick Jauron. We’ll get confirmation from Jauron after practice to make sure that is the case again this week.
