Haz says not contacted about coaching jobs
UFL Florida Tuskers head coach Jim Haslett set the record straight on the kind of contact he’s had with NFL teams. In an interview with the Orlando Sentinel, Haslett explained that when he said he had been contacted by a number of teams, he said the contact was to gather more information from him about [...]
Sanchez knee injury not serious
Jets QB Mark Sanchez left Sunday’s game against Carolina after suffering an apparent knee injury. But he returned a short time later and his left knee is fine by all accounts. Sanchez twisted the knee on an 8-yard scramble in the second half, but returned on the Jets next possession after team doctors examined him. [...]
Dolphins CB whining about T.O. push off
Terrell Owens 51-yard touchdown catch put the game away for the Bills on Sunday. It also left the man covering him, rookie cornerback Vontae Davis in a whiny mood about an alleged push off by Owens that Davis felt should have been called. Davis told the Palm Beach Post that Owens received special treatment from [...]
No pads practices this week
Interim head coach Perry Fewell has had his players don the pads in practices twice a week, despite the fact that it’s late in the season, in an effort to instill a more physical style of play. But that won’t happen this week. With the short week, Buffalo’s players need to heal up before playing [...]
Bills 4th qtr changes perception
The Bills were known as a team that folds in the fourth quarter. In 8 of the 10 games Buffalo had played heading into Sunday they had been tied or leading entering the 4th quarter and lost five of those eight games. Not being able to finish was more fact than perception. But the Bills [...]
No Monday update from Fewell
Interim head coach Perry Fewell will not be giving a wrap up on Sunday’s game Monday. It’s due to the fact that the Bills have a very short week of preparation with their next game coming on Thursday night against the Jets. Fewell will address the media again on Tuesday in his weekly press conference. [...]
Injury update
Good news on the injury front for the Bills. The only injury suffered in the game was that to LB Nic Harris. He suffered an eye contusion. Other than that the injury report Sunday was pretty clean. We’ll let you know if there are any additional injuries to report on Tuesday.
Grove out for Dolphins
The Dolphins will be without their starting center today. Jake Grove is inactive for the game. Joe Berger will start in his place.
Bills inactives
Here’s the list of inactives for the Bills today. Steve Johnson Terrence McGee Ashton Youboty Demetrius Bell James Hardy Chris Ellis John McCargo Brian Brohm is the third QB.
Tasker, Reed have HOF hurdles
With Steve Tasker and Andre Reed once again making the list of Hall of Fame semifinalists, Bills fans are naturally hopeful that another August day in Canton will belong to them. But both of them have some other prominent names at their respective positions or phase of the game that could make enshrinement for them [...]
Haslett contacted
UFL Florida Tuskers head coach Jim Haslett has reportedly been contacted by an NFL team, but he’s not saying which one. Haslett was a bit vague about his contact with an NFL club as he answered a question about some of his UFL players or coaches getting calls from the NFL. Here was his direct [...]
Simmons expected to start
Bills newly signed guard Kendall Simmons has spent all of five days with his new linemates, but it’s apparently enough to convince Buffalo’s offensive staff that he’s ready to start against the Dolphins today. The seven-year veteran is expected to start at right guard in place of rookie Eric Wood, who suffered a season ending [...]
Prep work already on Jets
While Buffalo’s coordinators are squarely focused on today’s opponent the Dolphins, with a short week coming up other members of the staff have already taken the preliminary steps to prepare for their next opponent the New York Jets with that game just four days away. “Coordinators won’t really get into that preparation,” said interim head [...]
Mace jersey number
Corey Mace, who the Bills just promoted to the active roster, will be wearing jersey number 75. My concern is this promotion could in response to the anticipated availability of Marcus Stroud. He’s listed as questionable and practiced for the first time on Friday. But this roster move to add a DT for Sunday’s game might mean [...]
Sparano on weather factor
Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano isn’t worried about the weather that Buffalo might have in store for his team Sunday. “I just think that those are some of the distractions that you have to deal with when you go play in the cold weather places. From our end, we prepare as best as we can [...]
Miami center not looking good
The Miami Dolphins are likely to be without their starting center. Jake Grove did not practice again on Friday and Miami head coach said Grove has been declared doubtful for Sunday’s game. His replacement if he can’t go would be backup Joe Berger. “I’m fine with Joe,” said Sparano. “If Joe ends up starting in [...]
Fan Friday 11-27
Let’s get right to your questions. 1. Do you think that Brian Brohm will be groomed into the next starting quarterback? It is apparent that the organization would like to move on in the qb department, but do you think Brohm will be the guy or will they go after Clausen or another prospect in the [...]
Wood returns
After four days in Jacksonville, Bills RG Eric Wood has returned to Buffalo. “Eric Wood is back,” said interim head coach Perry Fewell. “I have received communication that he is back in Buffalo and everything went well.” Wood was stuck in Jacksonville as the two broken bones in his lower left leg required surgery. That [...]
McGee, Stroud updates
Terrence McGee and Marcus Stroud both practiced on a limited basis Friday. Interim head coach Perry Fewell updated their status for Sunday’s game after practice. Both McGee and Stroud are listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against Miami. Fewell believes Stroud is on the more probable side of questionable. “He moved good today,” said Fewell [...]
