With a bye week to alter some things offensively in the hopes of being more productive on the scoreboard, Lee Evans indicated that major changes are not in the cards.
“I don’t think you’re going to see a dramatic or completely different offense,” said Evans. “But hopefully we’ll be able to do some things and mix it up a little bit. Get more guys involved. That’s the plan. But hopefully the plan is just to be able to just stay on the field on third downs. That was our biggest concern, staying on the field on third downs. That was our biggest concern during the bye week.”
Whether they’ve got that fixed remains to be seen. Tennessee is a middle of the road team when it comes to getting off the field defensively on third down. They’re ranked 15th in the league allowing opponents to convert less than 37 percent of the time. Buffalo’s offense is converting just 26 percent of the time.
