NFL Network reporter Jason LaCanfora is reporting that Demetrius Bell’s knee injury will keep him on the shelf for two weeks.
LaCanfora reported the Bell prognosis in his blog post Tuesday afternoon. That means Buffalo could have its fifth different starting tackle tandem this weekend at Jacksonville.
If Jonathan Scott starts at left tackle and Jamon Meredith starts at right tackle it would be a new tandem. However if Scott and Chambers start on the edges it would be the same pairing that started at Miami in Week 4.
Either way the turnover is doing little for continuity.
“It’s not easy when you’ve got a new guy coming in every week, but we have to go out and play to the best of our ability,” said Andy Levitre. “It’s a matter of execution on game day. It takes all five guys to execute. You can’t have four guys and one guy messing up. That’s when plays get busted. I know we’ve got the guys to do it, it’s just a matter of getting it done.”
