Jones-Drew gives Bills ‘D’ credit
Posted by Chris Brown on November 23, 2009 – 12:05 amMaurice Jones-Drew was held to just 70 total yards from scrimmage by the Bills in Sunday’s game, and the power back gave the injury-riddled Buffalo defense a tip of that hat after the Bills 18-15 defeat.
“Buffalo did a great job of loading the box and staying disciplined,” said Jones-Drew. ”We knew all week that they were a real disciplined team. I told you guys earlier in the week when your coach is fired; there are two ways you can go. They went the positive route. We fought hard, they fought hard.”
While it serves as little consolation in the loss, it does speak to how interim head coach Perry Fewell got the team to perform after a very tumultuous week.
