The Kansas City Chiefs have asked the league for a 24-hour extension to keep their game from being blacked out Sunday.
The Chiefs are expected to now have until Friday at noon to sell out their game Sunday against the Bills or risk having the game blacked out for the first time in 155 games to the local viewing area in Kansas, Missouri and surrounding states that fall under their home territory broadcast range.
By league rules games must be sold out 72 hours before kickoff which was 1pm on Thursday.
