Shanahan pulls name as Bills coaching candidate
Posted by Chris Brown on December 27, 2009 – 10:41 amFormer Denver head coach Mike Shanahan is officially off the list of coaching candidates for the Bills.
Shanahan has requested that his name be removed from the list of candidates. That according to the Buffalo News.
The two-time Super Bowl winning head coach has also drawn interest from the Washington Redskins.
Truthfully it’s not surprising that Shanahan has removed his name. Shanahan’s next coaching job is likely to be his last at age 57. He undoubtedly would prefer to go to a team where he can be successful immediately. In contrast Buffalo has somewhat of a rebuilding effort to undertake.
