With the best possible record for the Bills being 6-10, Buffalo has clinched a top 10 pick with one game to play.
The Bills are currently 5-10 along with two other teams (Oakland, Seattle) and Chicago, which plays Monday night is 5-9. With no other teams in the league with six wins these four teams can’t catch any one of the teams with seven wins, unless the Bears win tonight.
Tiebreakers for these teams will be determined by strength of schedule. If your strength of schedule is weaker and your team and another team have the same record, you would pick higher under the thinking that your team had an easier schedule and still couldn’t win more games.
So at this point Buffalo will pick anywhere between 7 and 10 in the 2010 NFL draft.
