According to the Houston Chronicle, there will be one fewer coaching job available than some anticipated.
With the Houston Texans finishing strong at 9-7 and winning their last four including a season finale win over the Patriots, owner Bob McNair confirmed that Gary Kubiak will be back in 2010.
“Gary’s my coach,” McNair said after the game to the Houston Chronicle. “I know there was speculation that he might not be, but he is. He’ll definitely be back. I don’t see any reason why he wouldn’t be. The team matured today. It was a great victory for us.”
A poor finish likely would’ve sealed Kubiak’s fate and the Texans like the Bills would have also been looking for a head coach. As a result there is one less big market NFL team looking for a head coach along with Buffalo.
