Alex Van Pelt became the latest member of the former Bills coaching staff to find work elsewhere in the NFL.
Van Pelt, according to ESPN’s John Clayton, has been hired to coach quarterbacks for Tampa Bay.
One wonders if his recent experienced with young quarterbacks the past couple of years was viewed as an asset by Bucs head coach Raheem Morris, knowing Van Pelt’s chief responsibility will be the development of second-year QB and former first-round pick Josh Freeman.
The hiring however, ends a long relationship between Van Pelt and the Bills. He spent nine years as a player with Buffalo, five as a coach and two as a radio broadcaster.
Van Pelt is now the seventh member of the former staff to be hired elsewhere.
