Edwards departure felt in B-more
Posted by Chris Brown on March 17, 2010 – 3:42 pmThe Bills signing of DE Dwan Edwards has left a void in Baltimore’s defensive line that they’re genuinely concerned about filling.
Ravens nose tackle Haloti Ngata told BaltimoreRavens.com he was surprised Edwards wasn’t re-signed and isn’t sure how the team will plug the hole left by the seven-year vet.
“It’s huge,” Ngata said of the loss of Edwards. “We’re definitely going to miss him. Now we’ve got to look for another D-end that could work well with Trevor [Pryce]. It’s going to be kind of weird during this season without him.”
The Ravens also lost Ngata’s backup Justin Bannan, who signed with Denver, but by most accounts the Ravens believe Edwards will be harder to replace.
