Miami TE Jimmy Graham, who played all of one year of college football, is an athletic specimen at 6’6″ 260. And according to ESPN’s Mel Kiper, it’ll be more than enough to get him drafted on day two (rounds 2 and 3).
“Obviously you take a chance and roll the dice on a guy like this,” Kiper said. “With his size and the way he runs you could take a player with his athletic ability in the third round. Sure he looked a little bit unnatural catching the football last year and he didn’t look like a guy that was ready to play in the NFL, but who would have expected that?
“Blocking is an issue and he needs more reps catching the ball. But when you’re that big, that fast, that athletic I see him going in the third round. I have him going to the Browns in round three, and there are a few other teams that I think will consider him in that round.”
