ESPN Rumor Central looks to be speculating more than anything else, but they believe a veteran free agent offensive tackle could be pegged.
According to the “report” free agent veteran OT Flozell Adams could be targeted as a possible free agent addition for their left tackle position. Here’s the key sentence among what was written in the report.
They might take a look at veteran free agent Flozell Adams. Adams was one of the most-penalized linemen in the NFL, but he would be an upgrade from a skills standpoint.
With Demetrius Bell coming off a knee injury last season and fifth-round pick Ed Wang the only left tackle prospect scooped up in the draft and the report that Buffalo inquired about Jared Gaither last weekend, speculation is rampant that the Bills will make some kind of free agent addition at that position.
I wonder if they wait and assess what they have at the position after some OTAs on the field before pulling the trigger on any signings or possible trades. GM Buddy Nix, head coach Chan Gailey and Asst. GM/Pro Personnel Director Doug Whaley will know very quickly if they need to add reinforcements.
