There doesn’t seem to be much anticipation for the NFL’s announcement where the host city will be named for Super Bowl XLVIII in 2014. That’s because there are reports indicating that the bid is in the bag for New York.
According to the NY Daily News, the field of candidates has for all intents and purposes has been reduced to two, New York/New Jersey and their sparkling new gem of a stadium just over the Hudson in the Meadowlands or Tampa.
With Commissioner Roger Goodell’s praise of NY/NJ as a potential host city, many believe it’s a foregone conclusion that NY/NJ will get the 17 votes needed today to win the Super Bowl bid.
