Spencer Johnson helped sell Torbor
Posted by Chris Brown on June 5, 2010 – 5:26 pmBills DE Spencer Johnson was sold on Buffalo by former Bills DT Pat Williams, who he played with in Minnesota before signing with Buffalo two years ago. Johnson has appeared to return the favor as he helped sell LB Reggie Torbor on Buffalo.
Johnson considers Torbor his best friend in football. They were college teammates at Auburn.
“I told him it’s a great place to play football,” said Johnson. ”He knows me and he knows ‘Veek’ and we know each others’ families so he’s going to fit in here really well.”
More importantly Torbor comes in hungry after his career in Miami did not pan out the way he had hoped making just three starts in two seasons.
“He’s ready to play some ball,” said Johnson. ”He’s ready to get out there and show what he can do. Everyone knows he’s a good player so he’s going to be a great addition to the team and he’s hungry.”
I can only imagine how hungry he’ll be when he plays Miami twice this season.
