Oakland native Marshawn Lynch and San Francisco native Steve Johnson are both holding their annual football camps this weekend.
On Sat. (July 10th) Lynch will be holding his free football camp at his high school (Oakland Tech) while Johnson will be holding his first of two camps this Saturday in Sacramento at Hiram Johnson high school. Johnson will have another football camp the following Saturday (July 17th) in Fairfield, CA at Angelo Rodriguez high school.
“Oakland is home,” said Lynch. “Giving back to my community is extremely important to me. Providing these kids with an opportunity to have fun and learn football at the same time is a great experience for Josh and me.”
Lynch is referring to his cousin and Tampa Bay Bucs QB Josh Johnson.
500 kids participated in Lynch’s camp last summer.
