Good news on WR Nelson

It looks like the ankle injury suffered by rookie WR David Nelson is not as bad as initially feared.

Head coach Chan Gailey stated that Nelson is unlikely to miss the rest of the preseason, which was the initial prognosis.

“A lot better than was originally projected,” said Gailey. “I feel very good about it. We may even get him back in time for next week.”

If Nelson is able to re-enter the practice setting next week, he’ll have an excellent chance to play in the team’s third preseason game on Aug. 28th against Cincinnati.
