Ed Reed status up in the air

Ravens FS Ed Reed is still a question mark for Sunday’s game against the Bills.

I’m not sure,” Reed told The Baltimore Sun on Friday. “We’ll see how it feels (Saturday).”

Reed, who practiced this week, is not listed on the team’s injury report because he’s not on their active roster. He would have to be activated off the Reserve/PUP list to the 53-man roster by 4 pm Saturday.

“He’s had a really good week,” Harbaugh said. “I don’t want to speak for him. It looks good. From a coaching standpoint, I’m probably going to be cautious.”

With the Ravens facing a bye week after they play the Bills they may choose to have Reed miss this week’s game to give him another two weeks to practice before returning to the fray. However, Baltimore is shorthanded at free safety with Tim Zbikowski, the man who replaced him in the starting lineup, is out for Sunday with a foot injury after not practicing all week. Third stringer Hakuri Nakamura would start if Reed can’t go Sunday.
