Terrence McGee has been battling a persistent nerve problem in his calf, but after a very encouraging week of practice he might not be eased in slowly like he was the last time he tried to return from the injury.
Head coach Chan Gailey indicated McGee could play a lot of snaps on Sunday against the Browns despite missing the last two games.
“We’re going to talk about that because this by far was his best week of practice so we may not have to ease him back in as much as we thought,” Gailey told Buffalobills.com. “So we’re going to talk about that plan as we get closer to game time. I thought this week of practice he looked like the old Terrence.”
McGee was shadowing Leodis McKelvin a lot in practice this week at his familiar left cornerback position. Just how much of a workload is put on McGee will likely be determined Saturday evening and then confirmed following pre-game warmups assuming McGee has no setbacks.
