The Bills made some big plays late to preserve a 13-6 win over the Browns Sunday, and Cleveland’s players gave them all the credit.
“It looked like everything was going our way in the beginning, and it just changed up a little bit,” said CB Joe Haden. “They started making plays and you’ve got to give them all the credit. They did what they had to do.”
“It’s a disappointment,” said WR Chansi Stuckey. “We came down here, they were obviously more ready to play than we were.”
Browns head coach Eric Mangini was asked about third down problems on offense and he too credited the Bills play as Cleveland converted just 2-10 on third downs.
“Not being as effective as we need to be on third down, that stalled some drives,” Mangini said. “I give [Buffalo] a whole lot of credit. I think they played really well.”
Sunday’s win was the first over the Browns in their last four meetings. The two teams have faced each other each of the last four seasons.
