The Bills wide receiving corps, which has been thinned noticeably by injury may be facing a cornerback contingent with the same problem.
Both of the Jets starting cornerbacks, Darrelle Revis (hamstring) and Antonio Cromartie (groin) were limited in practice on Friday and are considered questionable for Sunday’s game.
Head coach Rex Ryan said he would not be opposed to sitting them out if things don’t go well in pre-game warmups Sunday.
“There’s a chance that could happen,” said Ryan in his Friday press conference. “If they’re not feeling good with the hamstring and the groin then it makes sense to have them healthy for the playoffs. We’ll see how that goes. I’m not ruling them out, but we’ll see how that goes.”
Revis, however, told NewYorkJets.com editor Randy Lange the following concerning Sunday’s game.
“As of right now, I’m playing,” Revis said. “It’s up to the coaches and what they want to do, if they want to switch some guys out or not. But I’m taking this week as a regular week and preparing for the Buffalo Bills.”
If both Cromartie and Revis sit for the game Drew Coleman and Kyle Wilson would start in their place.
