With the NFL combine six days away here is a sampling of some interesting draft rumors floating around courtesy of National Football Post draft analyst Wes Bunting.
The most intriguing rumor on this list for me was that of Blaine Gabbert. He’s appeared on the majority of the so called draft experts lists as a top 10 pick, but Bunting hasn’t heard from a single scout who had a first-round grade on him.
Now that should probably be taken with a grain of salt. We don’t know how many scouts Bunting has spoken with so the sample size might not be large. Also scouts by nature are guarded and so either A – a scout has a first-round grade on Gabbert, but won’t admit it or B – a scout is trying to deflate Gabbert’s perceived value in an effort to have him slip.
