Nevada QB Colin Kaepernick is the only QB in college football history to throw for over 10,000 yards and rush for over 4,000. His athleticism is expected to help boost his stock this week at the NFL combine and he has big plans for his 40 time.
In an interview with the National Football Post, Kaepernick laid out his personal expectations for his 40 time. Here’s part of his Q&A with NFP.
NFP: What do you expect for your 40-yard dash time?
Kaepernick: “I’ve run it previously in 4.43. I’ve been close to that in training. Anything below 4.5 would be good. I want to be in the 4.4 range.”
Kaepernick also mentioned that he’ll be skipping the bench press, something a lot of quarterbacks do knowing they’re going to be throwing.
