Bills GM Buddy Nix and other members of Buffalo’s staff went out to the site of the team’s training camp at St. John Fisher to go over the myriad of contingency plans that now exist in light of the league’s labor situation. Among the details discussed were how late they could start training camp in Pittsford if the lockout drags into the summer.
Appearing on WHTK radio in Rochester Thursday after his visit, Nix stated that a deadline has not been determined at this point.
“We haven’t established that yet and neither has the league office,” said Nix. “We’ve been assured that they’ll be ready on short notice for us to come (to St. John Fisher) and we’ll be ready to move on short notice. It’ll be a while before we establish a date that we couldn’t come any later.”
