Bills DL Marcell Dareus was a live in studio guest on NFL Network last night (Wed.) and was asked about his comments from earlier in the week when he said that he was going to make Carolina and Denver pay for passing on him.
Dareus was also asked what he’s doing to stay sharp for when football resumes and whether or not he got a playbook while he was at One Bills Drive the day after he was drafted because it was during the brief period when the lockout was lifted by the courts.
“I didn’t get a playbook, but I’ve seen what they do and it’s real similar to what we did at Alabama. Real similar,” Dareus told the NFL Network. “I’m pretty much ready to get the playbook and I want to get down the terminology, but I’m staying in shape, working out, still doing D-line drills and keeping my footwork together until this thing is over with.”
Dareus said he’s expecting to play left end in Buffalo’s 3-4 scheme and kicking inside to play nose on occasion if they need him there.
