About a month and a half ago Ryan Fitzpatrick got most of the receiving corps together for some workouts in Arizona. Stevie Johnson, who was in attendance for the week of work shed some light on what went down in a radio interview this week.
Appearing on Morning Bull on 103.3 The Edge in Buffalo, Johnson was asked about the time spent in Arizona.
“We did some conditioning, we did weights and then as far as routes go we did concepts,” said Johnson. “We did like two receivers and what if it was zone? What if the corner was in man? Soft coverage? What if he was tight? We didn’t go against any DBs, but basically things we’d be doing if we were up in Buffalo.”
Johnson said he’s confident the balance of Buffalo’s roster is doing what they should be doing to be ready for when things with the league’s labor dispute get resolved.
“We’re all staying in shape,” he told Morning Bull. “I’m sure everybody is being professional about it and staying on top of their game becasue any day we could get called back and we’ve got to look good for our coaches and hopefully make a run for the playoffs.”
