Lions door closes for Barnett

Free agent LB Nick Barnett, who is visiting with the Bills at St. John Fisher, was also reportedly scheduled to visit the Detroit Lions today (Sunday). That may not happen now.

With reports that the Lions have signed Tennessee free agent MLB Stephen Tulloch, that suddenly is a far less attractive opportunity for Barnett and in all likelihood Detroit is done shopping for a MLB.

That should help the Bills cause if they are interested in making an offer.
