Bills head coach Chan Gailey indicated there was a lot riding on last Saturday’s preseason game with respect to the starting left tackle position. Here was his response when asked if he had made a final decision on who his starting left tackle would be.
“No,” said Gailey, who praised both Demetrius Bell and Andy Levitre for their effort on Saturday night.
“(Demetrius) played better,” he said. “He played better in this ball game and Andy did a good job too.”
Gailey said he wants consistency at that position first and foremost. Bell and Levitre were both successful in keeping Ryan Fitzpatrick clean in the game.
