Proof that Bills are bigger
The Bills made a point of getting bigger and stronger to hold up better on defense. Now here’s some measurable proof as to their increased size. Courtesy of the Bills media relations department, here is where this year’s defense measures up weight-wise to last year’s defense. 2010 AVERAGE WEIGHT OF… 2011 302 Starting Defensive [...]
Bills at Pryor pro day
It comes as no surprise knowing how thorough Buffalo’s scouting department is that the Bills were in attendance at Terrelly Pryor’s pro day Saturday. According to NFL Network reporter Albert Breer, 15 NFL teams were on hand. AlbertBreer Just got to Terrelle Pryor’s Pro Day. Teams here: Pitt, Wash, NO, TB, Dal, SD, Buff, Cle, Det, [...]
Roster cut number changed
Initially the NFL said the first roster cut would require teams to reduce their roster from 90 to 75 players. That figure has now been increased. The league announced that on Aug. 30th rosters only need to be reduced to 80 players, instead of 75. For the Bills this makes first cuts even less of [...]

LB Jefferson to get long look
His opportunity has surfaced due to injury, but you can bet that undrafted rookie ILB Brad Jefferson is more concerned about the opportunity he’ll have tonight than why it came up in the first place. With third-round pick Kelvin Sheppard and sixth-round pick Chris White both out for tonight’s preseason game against the Broncos, there [...]
No QB duty for Nesbitt
In the preseason opener last week, Josh Nesbitt showed some wheels running as an understudy to Brad Smith with three carries for 30 yards from the quarterback position. This week in practice however, he shifted to the other side of the ball to play safety. As a result Nesbitt will not take on any quarterback [...]
Big night for Batten
With Shawne Merriman on the shelf for tonight’s preseason game against Denver, it’s a huge opportunity to solidify his spot on the roster with another strong performance against the Broncos. Schefter on Pryor destination
ESPN’s Adam Schefter offered his speculation on where Terrelle Pryor could end up when and if he’s taken in the NFL Supplemental draft Monday. Schefter was clear in saying he has no evidence that any of these teams are interested, but pointed to them as “logical destinations.” Here’s his list, take it for what its [...]
Don’t forget what Marcell said
For those that don’t remember, Marcell Dareus was less than pleased that he was passed over by Carolina and Denver at the top of the draft board this past spring before the Bills took him third overall. Here were his choice words for Denver, a team he’ll face for the first time Saturday night in [...]
Levitre out to prove it
Andy Levitre was caught off guard (pardon the pun) this week when Chad Rinehart began rotating with him at the starting left guard position. But one thing is for sure, Levitre is out to prove it should be his spot for a third straight season. Levitre said as much on his twitter account. LevitreAndy Headed to [...]
