Fitz’s beard is back

He shaved it clean two weeks ago, but as of now Ryan Fitzpatrick’s beard will be back for the 2011 season.

Fitzpatrick’s beard took on a certain measure of celebrity all by itself last season as the chin mane got rather bushy in Weeks 10-17. The Bills QB is not backing down from it growing it throughout the season again this fall.

“It’s on, it’s going,” said Fitzpatrick, who indicated that no matter whether they win or lose, the beard will remain intact.

Bills fans even created a ‘Fear the Beard’ campaign last season as Fitz’s beard became more and more visible from underneath his chin strap on game days.
