Bell motivated to show well
Posted by on September 8, 2011 – 7:58 amAfter officially being named the starting left tackle for the Bills for the third straight season, after a late preseason challenge from Andy Levitre, Demetrius Bell is determined to do right by the coaches that put their faith in him.
“It’s always a blessing when you’re starting in this league,” he said. ”You never can take that away from somebody. Starting in this league is always a blessing. I take it with great responsibilities and I’m going to go out there and do my job.”
Bell’s job begins with a formidable task as he will be faced with protecting Ryan Fitzpatrick from premier pass rusher Tamba Hali. Hali had 1.5 sacks in the Chiefs’ overtime matchup with the Bills last season. He had 14.5 total last season en route to Pro Bowl recognition.
