Hernandez, Vollmer out for Pats
Posted by on September 23, 2011 – 5:03 pmThe Patriots will not only be down a tight end in Aaron Hernandez, but they will also be down a starting right tackle in Sebastian Vollmer.
Hernandez was expected to miss Sunday’s game due to an MCL injury sustained last week. Vollmer has a back injury, which puts rookie first-round pick Nate Solder in the starting lineup.
Solder is a player the Bills staff is pretty familiar with having seen him all week at the Senior Bowl on the North Team, which was coached by Marvin Lewis.
He’ll be facing Chris Kelsay and fellow rookie Marcell Dareus in the trenches on Sunday.
