Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has naturally gotten an awful lot of media attention the past few weeks including a feature story in Sports Illustrated this week. All that attention has apparently trickled down to family members as well. Fitzpatrick shared a story about the brush with new found fame that one of his three brothers ran into this past weekend.
“My brother Brandon was in a bar in Santa Fe watching the game, talking to some people and they found out who he was and a 65-year-old guy comes up to him and says, ‘Can I get your autograph?’ And my brother said, ‘Oh, no, it’s my brother that plays for the Bills.’ And the guy said, ‘I know, I know. You’re his brother. Can I get your autograph?’ So there’s been some stuff where they’ve had some funny run-ins. I think they think it’s cool but it’s just one of those things, you know as quickly as it’s comes everybody could leave if we lose a few games. It’s something you can’t put too much stock into.”
Head coach Chan Gailey has been reiterating the need to push all the national media attention aside this week and just focus on Cincinnati.
