Bills rookie LT Chris Hairston fared well all things considered Sunday in his first career NFL start. He’ll get a chance to build on that start this coming week against the NY Giants.
Head coach Chan Gailey confirmed Monday that starting LT Demetrius Bell would be “out a while” with his shoulder injury suffered in Week 5 at Cincinnati. That means Hairston will start for a second straight week at the Meadowlands on Sunday.
Here were Gailey’s thoughts on how Hairston performed Sunday.
“He did a pretty good job,” said Gailey. “We helped him a little bit with some backs chipping in over there a little bit. He really did a good job for the first time out. I expect him to make a pretty good jump this week. I hope he will.”
