Bills former interim head coach Perry Fewell runs the Giants defense. Though there are still a good number of players on Buffalo’s roster from that 2009 season when Fewell ran the Bills for the last half of the year, there’s no indication in the locker room that facing Fewell now will stir up any added motivation.
“Really a lot has happened since then and there’s been a lot of turnover just in terms of the guys that are now in our locker room,” said Ryan Fitzpatrick. “And that’s just the nature of the NFL. I know the guys are excited to see him. I’m excited to see him. He’s a guy that was in my corner and gave me some opportunities and I’ll always respect him for that.”
When Fewell took over as interim head coach following the firing of Dick Jauron, one of his first moves was to insert Ryan Fitzpatrick as the starting quarterback.
