Merriman limited

For the past few weeks Shawne Merriman has been given Wednesday’s practice off, and then he’s back on the field and full go. That wasn’t the case on Thursday.

“He was only able to go part of the time,” said head coach Chan Gailey of Merriman. “He was limited today.”

When asked if he anticipates Merriman doing more in practice Friday Gailey offered the following.

“That’s what we expect yes.”

Merriman has had a shoulder problem, and his injury was listed as such on Wednesday. On Thursday his injury description was changed to Achilles, which is noteworthy knowing his history with Achilles problems.
