Bills tied a team record
Posted by on October 30, 2011 – 10:49 pmWhile the sacks Sunday by the Bills got all the headlines, Buffalo’s ability to stop the run allowed them to tie a team record.
Buffalo allowed no first downs rushing in Sunday’s game against the Redskins, marking the third time in team history in which an opponent failed to get a first down running the ball. It also happened against the Jets in 1966 and the Patriots in 1982.
Washington rushed for just 26 yards on 12 carries averaging 2.2 per rush. They had just 10 first downs in the whole game.
