At 5-2 the Bills are in good shape with respect to their playoff aspirations. And if there’s any concern about egos getting in the way of what this year’s squad is trying to accomplish Stevie Johnson insists that no one needs to be worried.
“It’s not hard at all because nobody in here has a big head, nobody’s ego needs to be checked,” Johnson said in an interview on NFL Network. “It’s a lot of guys that know they came from the bottom and right now we’re working our way to get to the top. Nobody is talking or bragging about what they’ve done or what they can do; it’s a family here. It’s a good unit over here in Buffalo.”
George Wilson credited head coach Chan Gailey with keeping the team grounded during their newfound success this season.
“Coach does a great job of challenging us week in and week out,” Wilson said. “If we’re coming off a loss he doesn’t allow us to have self-pity for ourselves and after a victory he doesn’t allow us to get too high.”
