With the Giants winning in comeback fashion, at Gillette Stadium no less, in a 24-20 victory over the Patriots the top of the AFC East is officially a logjam.
When Eli Manning threw a game-winning touchdown pass to Jake Ballard with 15 seconds remaining, and the Pats couldn’t answer, it put the AFC East into a three-way tie for the top spot between the Bills, Jets and Patriots all currently 5-3 on the season. The Bills have a win over the Pats, the Jets have a win over the Bills and the Patriots have a win over the Jets.
New England and New York each have a 2-1 division record, Buffalo is just 1-1. At the midway point in the season it’s a dead heat and the Jets host the Pats next week, so the logjam will be broken in some fashion.
