The Bills have a head coach that isn’t in the business of making excuses. Chan Gailey took his share of the blame for how last Sunday’s game against the Jets went. So too did his offensive players with David Nelson admitting that Buffalo’s high-scoring offense for the first time this season had a setback.
“The Giants game we felt like we were in and should have won and the Cincinnati game we felt like we should have won,” said Nelson in referring to Buffalo’s pair of three-point losses this season. “Those were tough losses, but at the same time you can grow from that. Against the Jets we took a step back. So guys are not very happy about how we played.”
At the same time Nelson assures that the players are dead set on bouncing back this week at Dallas.
“Guys are hungry and are ready to get going and I think we’ve had a good track record of coming back after a loss,” he said. “We have to get better and can’t take a step back after last week.”
Buffalo has yet to lose back-to-back games this season.
