Bills ‘D’ mindful of big play
Posted by on November 13, 2011 – 7:55 amBills S George Wilson and the rest of the Buffalo defense knows they’ve fallen victim to the big play in a couple of their losses this season. They also know the Cowboys have a couple of playmaking talents that can victimize them today if they’re not careful.
“We can’t give up big plays; we can’t give up explosive plays,” Wilson told the NFL Network earlier this week. “They do a great job of having explosive games in the running game as well as the passing game, and now since [DeMarco] Murray has come on he’s really given them a great balanced attack and allowed them to play-action off of it.
“With the vertical threats on the outside, they allow Jason Witten and [Martellus] Bennett to control the middle of the field. Tony Romo has a plethora of playmakers to get the ball to and it takes the burden off of him to always have to make a play.”
WR Dez Bryant and TE Jason Witten are tied for the team lead with 11 third down receptions apiece. Three of Bryant’s 11 have gone for touchdowns this season.
