Bills ILB Nick Barnett, chalked up some of Buffalo’s problems defensively Sunday to miscommunication.
“We did some good things today on defense, but just didn’t do everything,” he said. “We had some coverage, some miscommunication, and all of that type of stuff. We got to clean all of that up if we want to be good.”
Barnett specifically mentioned the Anthony Fasano touchdown pass for one yard down on the goal line in the first quarter as one of a few miscommunications between defensive players.
“We had a miscommunication on one of the long plays,” said Barnett. “Down there on the goal line we had one side playing the wrong thing, and then the other side playing the other thing on that touchdown. So, it’s just a communication issue, and just making plays when we are right there covering guys.”
It sounds as if George Wilson, who has been one of the chief communicators on the defensive side of the ball, was missed on Sunday.
