Bills ILB Nick Barnett has been a reliable performer for pretty much his entire NFL career. And though he’s in his ninth season he experienced something in Sunday’s loss to the Titans he’s never been a part of before.
“I’ve never lost five in a row, ever, pop-warner, baseball and all that stuff,” he said after Sunday’s game. “This is a new territory for me and I’m sure for a lot of guys. It doesn’t feel good, and they don’t like it and I don’t like it. We’ve got some positive things we can work on and finish this season the way we’re supposed to. I’m happy with the guys, the way we played in that second half (defensively), but we’ve got to come out and start a lot faster than that.”
Buffalo’s defense held the Titans to 125 total net yards in the second half. Aside from the two field goal drives by Tennessee in the second half, the Bills defense did not allow a drive of more than five plays.
