POSTGAME QUOTES
Head Coach Chan Gailey
I think the reason we lost was fundamentals. You’ve got to block, you’ve got to tackle, and you’ve got to take care of the football. Those are the things that happened to us in this game today that we didn’t get the job done to win and you have to do those things, fundamentally in order to be able to win. You just can’t play like that fundamentally. That’s where I think it was.

On this not being the first time that he’s mentioned fundamentals as the issue:
Sure it is. That’s a reflection on me that they’re not getting better. That they’re not doing those things the way it needs to be done. I understand that. You’ve got to play that way if you expect to win. We obviously didn’t.

QB Ryan Fitzpatrick
On the final drive of the game
Yeah you got no timeouts, you got eighty five yards to go, you got eight, sometimes nine people in coverage and you’re trying to get the ball downfield which makes it difficult.  We were able to hit Naaman on the seam to get going a little bit, but it’s a tough position to be in and you know there was some stuff but we were just trying to get it downfield.  We’re not trying to get anything short. It’s hard because they got the sidelines covered because that’s what they want to do in that is make sure you can’t get a catch out of bounds. So, tough situation but we need to come up and make some more plays there.

RB C.J. Spiller
On if playing in the NFL has become instinctual to him:
In my first start last year, I was doing a lot of thinking in the game and I really wouldn’t let my ability take over. I was concerned about, “should I go inside? Should I go outside?” But now, I’m just going out there and playing football, just playing the way I always played.

LB Nick Barnett
On how the defense stepped it up in the second half containing Chris Johnson:
Yeah we definitely were two different defenses I’ll say that.  First half we made some mental mistakes all around the board. We couldn’t stop him, let him make some big plays and he made them.  We came out in the second half, made the adjustments and I was proud the way our defense played in the second half.  We just have to come out and put 60 minutes together, we’re not here to play 30 minutes of football, its 60 minutes out there.

S Jairus Byrd
On the defense not tackling well:
It’s huge.  You can’t win games if you can’t get the fundamentals down, you can’t do anything.  Until we get that down consistently, we can’t compete or try to go out there and expect to be a playoff team if we can’t do the fundamentals.  That’s what playoff teams do, the fundamentals.  Tackle, make plays when you need to, and we didn’t do that.

POSTGAME NOTES
Ryan Fitzpatrick
Completed passes to 10 different receivers Sunday, tying the club record for most receivers with a catch in a game … this is the fourth time it has occurred and the first since Vince Ferragamo used 10 receivers vs. S.D., 9/8/85 (Greg Bell-13, Jerry Butler-4, Andre Reed-3, Eason Ramson-3, Pete Metzleaars-3, Van Williams-1, Eric Richardson-1, Booker Moore-1, Chris Burkett-1, and Mitchell Brookins-1) … the only other occasions were 9/23/84 vs. N.Y.J.
