THIS DAY IN BILLS HISTORY
December 9, 1990 — BILLS CLINCH PLAYOFF BERTH, REED BECOMES ALL-TIME LEADER IN TDs
The Bills clinched a playoff berth with a 31-7 victory over the Indianapolis Colts at the Hoosier Dome. WR Andre Reed became the Bills’ all-time leader in touchdown receptions, breaking Elbert Dubenion’s record.

QUOTE OF THE DAY
Head Coach Chan Gailey
On San Diego making playoff runs in December and finishing strong and if he wants to match that and finish strong in December:
That’s what you have to be able to do. You have to be able to finish strong. Most of the teams in the last few years that have really won it have had to do that. You play hard, you get on a roll and you fight and scrap, claw to get to the playoffs and then all of the sudden you’ve gained some confidence that you can go the distance. Green Bay and Pittsburgh come to mind as of late that have done it that way. There’s a lot to be said for being able to play well in December, for whatever reason you’re playing for.
