Van Pelt hired

Former Bills QB, and former Bills QBs coach and offensive coordinator, Alex Van Pelt has landed an assistant coaching job in the NFC.

Van Pelt was named the running backs coach of the Green Bay Packers. He was most recently the quarterbacks coach in Tampa (2010-2011). Van Pelt and head coach Mike McCarthy are good friends from their days at Pitt. McCarthy was a young coach assisting the quarterbacks for the Panthers when Van Pelt was throwing passes there.
