Report on Bills cap space

Posted by Chris Brown on March 13, 2012 – 11:11 am

NFL.com’s Jason LaCanfora has listed the up to date cap space for each of the 32 NFL teams heading into free agency today. Here’s what the Bills have to work with.

Per LaCanfora’s report the Bills have $23 million in cap space. That ranks as eighth-most. Here are the teams that have more cap space than Buffalo.

1 – Tampa Bay $44.9M
2 – Denver $42.3M
3 – Cincinnati $39M
4 – Jacksonville $34.5M
5 – Seattle $27.7M
6 – Tennessee $25M
7 – Chicago $23.5M

LaCanfora also noted that the salary cap space penalties assessed to the Redskins and Cowboys were not accounted for in these calculations, which would add $1.6M in cap space to these teams including Buffalo.
